Offer a unique piece of Scandinavian-American history with this antique 1914 Norwegian flag stick pin. Manufactured by The American Art Works of Coshocton, Ohio, this rare lapel pin commemorates Norges Hundredaarsfest i Tvillingbyerne (Norway's Centennial Celebration in the Twin Cities, Minneapolis-St. Paul), sponsored by the historic Minneapolis Tidende newspaper for the May 16–18, 1914 celebration. • Design: Features a vibrant lithographed paper flag of Norway wrapped around a metal stick pin with a decorative brass ball finial. The reverse side features gothic German-script text detailing the commemorative event. • Measurements: The flag measures approximately 1.16 inches wide. Total pin length conforms to standard antique stick-pin dimensions. • Materials: Lithographed paper flag, metal pin stem, and brass-tone metal ball finial. • Condition Notes: Displays authentic age-related wear, light edge chipping, and minor surface patina appropriate for fragile 1910s ephemera. The antique paper flag exhibits light surface wear, age toning, a small tear at the middle bottom edge, and minor edge chipping along the folds. The brass-toned metal pin stem and ball finial show authentic vintage patina. Structurally stable and well-preserved for its era.
